Armed with this knowledge, director and producer Lorien Barlow set out to make the first feature length documentary about women in the industry: "Hard Hatted Woman." Hard Hatted Woman is the first documentary of its kind, created to invigorate a dialogue around recruitment and retention of women in the construction industry, and inspire bold and meaningful action to make sure jobsites are safe and fair for all workers.

And Barlow is not alone in her pursuit. Understanding the need for dialogue, and the need to raise awareness for the work women do and the contributions they make to the industry, Autodesk is proud to be a funding partner for this project.
